About the Department
Foundation and Programme
The department was founded in 2011. It admitted its first students in 2015-2016 with a 30% English-medium programme, and the fully English-medium programme opened in 2016-2017. Candidates who do not pass the university’s English proficiency exam must attend a one-year English preparatory programme.
Academic Staff and Curriculum
Nine faculty members and nine research assistants work full time in our department. The course list, credits and course contents are published in our undergraduate curriculum.
Accreditation
Our department continuously focuses on raising its quality standards. As a result of this work, the Computer Engineering programme has been accredited by MÜDEK (Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programmes).
Aim of the Programme
The mission of the department is to produce and disseminate knowledge by building an academic community focused on research and education in Computer Science and Engineering, and to train competitive, innovative Computer Engineers equipped with up-to-date knowledge.
